Stage 1: Contact us
You can contact us directly or if you have a design professional you may prefer to have them contact us to organise a preliminary meeting.
Stage 2 : Discuss project brief
Woodworks has a collaborative design style. We meet with you and any design professionals involved to discuss the project brief, time line and any other details. Make an appointment with one of our designers - either at our showroom if you have house plans or arrange a site measure for renovation work. We’re full of great ideas to get your imagination going. We’ll take you through a series of questions to determine what you want and show you a vast array of colours, hardware, and materials. Once we have discussed your dream kitchen we’ll provide you with some initial kitchen concept drawings.
Step 3: Develop & Refine Plan
We work with you and your design professional to refine the plans and to determine other details.
After reviewing the drawings with you, we can refine our concepts to completely suit your requirements. Bench tops, door materials, handles, colours, and other details can be selected and then we can price up your dream kitchen. Upon acceptance of our quotation, full working drawings and designs will be produced along with colour and product choices selected for your final approval prior to manufacture.
Step 4: Quotation and acceptance
Woodworks will present the client with a quotation and our terms of trade, based on selections and refined concept design.. This needs to be signed off and a deposit paid prior to the project progressing to the manufacturing stage. Upon acceptance of our quotation a final site measure will be organised to finalise measurements and an installation date will be arranged.
Step 5: Site measures
Site measures and templates are taken at relevant points in the process.
Step 6: Manufacture
We are now ready for your new exciting Mastercraft kitchen to go to our production department. Here, the process takes approximately four to six weeks to obtain materials and manufacture your custom-made kitchen. The completion time depends on various factors such as size of your kitchen, products used and the time of the year.
Stage 7 : Ongoing liaison with design & construction professionals
Woodworks liaises throughout the job with relevant design and construction professionals including architects, designers, appliance suppliers, builders, plumbers, electricians and gas fitters, tilers etc. We will also provide detailed plans so you can liaise with your plumber and electrician as to the location of services - they are welcome to contact us if they require any additional clarification.
Step 8: Installation
Upon completion of the manufacturing process, our factory manager will contact you to arrange installation by Mastercraft’s qualified installers. Your new, custom designed design will be fitted, then it is yours to enjoy!
If you are having solid stone surface bench tops they will be templated after your kitchen cabinetry being installed if need be and will be installed within 10-15 working days depending on the time of the year. Electrical points can be fitted off by your electrician and the plumber can return to fit off the dishwasher, sink etc.
Stage 9 : Project sign-off
The project is formally signed off when production and installation quality standards have been met and the final payment for the project has been made. Of course we don’t leave you there. Our guarantee will see you through the first ten years of your kitchen’s life, and because it is transferable, it adds value to the next owners should you sell
